Beautiful Bounty - Recipe by Jill Slater

Materials:
| |
- Colorful colander, 10-12-inches in diameter
- Approximately 4 fruits and/or veggies of your choice (i.e. cantaloupe, onion, potatoes, bell pepper, gourds etc.)
- Flowers and foliages- 6 liatrice, 1 green Fuji chrysanthemum, 3 white freesias, 3 phormium leaves, 5 croton leaves & 6 stems rosemary
- Approximately 4 watertubes, only used for chrysanthemum and freesia
- Floral preservative and clippers
| Directions:
Step 1 - To make a base, fill the colander with fruits and veggies.
Step 2 - Inserting the flowers and foliage: Cut the liatrice at varying lengths (4-to 8-inches) and begin inserting them near the rim of the colander. The liatrice will last in the colander without watertubes- they dry in place, as do all the greens.
Step 3 - Fill the watertubes with water that has been treated with floral preservative. Cut the freesia to about 5-inches in length and insert them into the watertubes, 1 stem for each watertube. Also cut the chrysanthemum to approximately 6-inches in length and insert it into a watertube.
Step 4 - Begin inserting the greens and the rest of the flowers. It may help to think of circling the flowers and foliages to follow the interior form and shape of the colander.
