Materials:

- Strawberry planting pot- Jill's is approximately 20-inches tall with a 6-inch opening in the top of it
- Waterproof bowl to fit the top opening of the pot
- 1 brick floral foam
- 3 wood pics or shish kabob skewers
- 4 to 5 stems blue iris, 4 to 5 stems red roses, 3 to 5 stems white gerbera daisies, 2 stems babies breath, 6 stems rosemary, 8 stems leather fern, 3 small red apples
- Red gerberas- 1 for each pocket of the pot
- Water tubes- 1 for each pocket of the pot
- 2 to 5 small (8-inches tall or so) American flags
- Floral clippers and floral preservative
| Directions:
Step 1 - Soak the floral foam in water that has been treated with floral preservative. The foam needs to soak at least 30 minutes.
Step 2 - Cut the floral foam to fit the liner for the top of the strawberry pot. The foam should come up about 1-inch above the liner.
Step 3 - Fill the foam-filled liner with water that has been treated with floral preservative. Set the bowl inside the top opening of the strawberry pot.
Step 4 - Now insert one wood pic (or cut shish kabob skewers into 3- to 5-inch lengths) into each apple. Then insert the picked apples sporadically into the floral foam.
Step 5 - Cut the greens to about 5-inches in length and insert them throughout the foam. Think in terms of front, back and sides. You will soon see 'holes' that 'tell' you where to put more foliage.
Step 6 - Now do the same with the flowers. Cut the flowers a bit longer than the greenery. DON'T FORGET TO SAVE ONE RED GERBERA FOR EACH POCKET.
Step 7 - Top off the arrangement with a couple of American Flags. Now place the red gerberas in water tubes that have been filled with water that has been treated with floral preservative. Insert the water tubed flowers inside the side pockets of the strawberry pot. A few flags can be included in the pockets if desired.
